THE BAND PERRY — "GENTLE ON MY MIND"
In 2014, the documentary film Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me was released, chronicling the life and career of iconic American country music artist Glen Campbell. for the film's soundtrack, The Band Perry recorded Campbell's classic song "Gentle On My Mind", and Absorb. was commissioned to build the official music video for the song.
Narrative filming was done over three adventure-filled days in Death Valley, CA with the excellent Alexander Ludwig (The Hunger Games, Lone Survivor, Vikings) in the role of the song's freewheeling journeyman. Shelley Hennig (Justified, Unfriended) beautifully portrayed the role of the focus of the journeyman's affection. The experience of making this video was certainly an extraordinary one.
The "Gentle On My Mind" video has surpassed 15 million views on YouTube, and the song won a Grammy Award for Best Country Group Performance in 2015.
